Marketing & Storytelling Lead
About Wylie Shipley
Wylie Shipley serves as Marketing & Storytelling Lead at Future Plans, where Wylie is dedicated to sharing impactful stories that inspire students and communities across Appalachian Ohio. Raised on a 200-acre farm, Wylie’s journey began as the first GRIT Project student intern, discovering new career possibilities through the Future Plans assessment. This experience shaped Wylie’s commitment to helping others find their own paths and believe in their potential.
Wylie’s day‑to‑day work centers on building brand awareness, managing a variety of Future Plans projects and programs, and fostering collaboration and clear communication across teams to support and amplify the voices of individuals experiencing the Future Plans five‑step process.
Wylie is especially proud of mentoring students through challenges, celebrating their successes, and helping them access new opportunities—whether through coaching, program management, or one-on-one encouragement.
With an associate’s degree earned in high school, a bachelor’s in business marketing, and an MBA by age 21, Wylie brings both academic achievement and hands-on experience to the role. Certifications in HubSpot and social media communications further support Wylie’s work in outreach and engagement.
Outside of work, Wylie enjoys coffee, spending time with friends, working out, and coaching high school volleyball. Active in church and youth programs, Wylie finds purpose in supporting others and hopes to see Appalachian success stories recognized and valued at every level.
