About Thomas Ujvagi

Professionally, I bring more than 30 years of experience across corporate leadership, consulting, and entrepreneurial environments. Throughout my career, I have worked with organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, helping them navigate growth, operational challenges, financial transformation, process improvement, and strategic change.

My background includes executive leadership roles in both industry and consulting often focused on efficiency and growth. Over the years, I have worked across finance, operations, strategy, technology, and organizational transformation initiatives, often serving as the bridge between high-level strategy and practical execution. As an independent consultant, I focus on helping organizations achieve “what’s next, now” through value-driven leadership and change.

What attracted me most to Future Plans is the mission. I have always been passionate about helping people grow, develop confidence, and unlock opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives. The organization’s commitment to workforce development, personal transformation, and community impact strongly aligns with my own values and leadership philosophy. I believe meaningful change happens when organizations combine strong mission alignment with practical execution, accountability, and genuine care for people. That balance is something I hope to help strengthen and expand at Future Plans.

My approach to leadership is rooted in collaboration, accountability, and servant leadership. I strongly believe that lasting success comes from aligning people, processes, metrics, and technology around a shared purpose. I also care deeply about mentoring and developing future leaders, helping teams grow not only in capability but also in confidence and ownership.

On a personal level, I live in the greater Cincinnati area in Ohio with my wife, Kerry, who is a first-grade teacher. We have been married for more than 27 years and have four amazing children whose interests range from fashion design and business to physical therapy and education. Our family also includes Nala, our very spoiled mini Goldendoodle, who frequently serves as my “co-worker” during virtual meetings.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, playing cards, staying active, and supporting Ohio sports teams. I am a proud graduate of the University of Dayton and a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. In 2024, I completed my first half marathon alongside my daughter while she was training for her first full marathon. I am also proud of my Hungarian family heritage, which has instilled in me a strong appreciation for resilience, gratitude, hard work, and community.
