About Meagan Wood

Meagan Wood joined Future Plans in July 2025, bringing with her over 11 years of experience in manufacturing and development, along with 15 years in business development and marketing. Most recently, she served as Chief Administrative Officer at Superior Marine Ways, Inc., where she oversaw a broad portfolio including finance, human resources, marketing, business development, legal affairs, safety, and environmental compliance.

Prior to her role at Superior Marine, Meagan spent seven years with The Ohio State University South Centers as Business Development Director. In this role, she managed programs that delivered technical assistance to businesses across 22 counties in Appalachian Ohio. She began her career in the banking industry, holding several leadership roles including Marketing andBranch Administration Coordinator.

Meagan has held a variety of board leadership positions, including a national role with Inland Rivers, Ports and Terminals, where she was selected to represent the six Ohio River states in Panama. There, she played a key role in establishing a partnership between the Panama Canal and the Inland Rivers of the United States. She was also recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 professionals in the inland marine industry nationwide.

Her civic involvement includes serving as president of a local chamber of commerce, president of a university alumni association, and as a board member for multiple local development and fundraising organizations focused on downtown revitalization.

Meagan holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Rio Grande and an MBA from Ohio University. She and her husband live in Jackson, Ohio, have three children and also own and operate two small businesses.
