About Felicia Johnson
Felicia G. Johnson is the Subject Matter Expert for Career Coaching with over twelve years of progressive leadership experience in career development, workforce initiatives, and higher education. Her background includes serving as a Career Coach, Mentor, Program Coordinator, and Director of Career Services, providing her with a broad perspective on how to design and deliver impactful career coaching solutions across diverse populations.
In her current role, Felicia leads a team of professional staff and more than 45 career coaches, guiding thousands of youth and adult participants in exploring career options, interpreting assessments, and developing actionable next-step plans. Beyond her internal leadership, she collaborates with external partners to implement coaching tools, support certification processes, and facilitate professional development initiatives that elevate coaching practices across the community.
Outside of her work with Future Plans, Felicia finds joy in her role as a mother to two adult sons and in the company of her four beloved dogs—a mini goldendoodle and three mini poodles. Deeply committed to her community, she also serves as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, specializing in career development, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
I believe impactful career coaching begins with awareness and grows into action, guiding individuals toward purpose-driven career and life decisions. By creating systems of support that connect people, education, and opportunity, I aim to ignite sustainable career pathways that benefit both Future Plans participants and the organizations that support them.
