About Brandi Hawthorne
Brandi Hawthorne is Subject Matter Expert, Fair-Chance Adult Populations at Future Plans. She has over fourteen years of leadership experience, assisting others with their professional development and project management experience in growing programs under grant funding. Brandi has served in the human services field for over six years with a focus on workforce programming which specifically supports individuals who have barriers to employment. She believes in the power of implementing behavioral health support across all aspects of one’s life span for collective resiliency and progress for everyone.
Throughout her career, Brandi has held leadership roles in the for-profit industry, the non-profit sector and presidency for multiple volunteer organizations across Appalachia. She enjoys supporting non-profits through joining their board of executives. While serving the fair-chance adult population in Pike County Ohio, the program she led won Exemplary Programs Awards for 2021,under the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies. As she actively serves the Southeast Ohio Reentry Coalition as President, they were recognized as the 2023 most virtually accessed coalition in Ohio.
Outside of work, Brandi enjoys traveling especially when live music is involved, reading, and studying history as well as human behavior. She considers herself to be a life-long learner and is currently gaining her Master level education in Mental Health Counseling. She loves her family consisting of six children, two grandchildren and a new addition arriving by the end of 2025. Brandi believes her children will be her legacy.
