JOB GOALS
Further the mission Future Plans locally through supporting youth and adults. Assist school districts in implementing the Future Plans Career Assessment and coaching process, with the objective of every graduating senior leaving high school with defined and documented career goals and next steps. Build relationships with local employers, chambers of commerce and the Ohio Means Jobs office as a means of identifying local workforce needs and supporting adults of any age looking for employment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with county chamber of commerce, economic development, and local organizations and businesses to identify the local workforce needs.
- Utilize the Future Plans career assessment data to work with individuals to identify new career opportunities by matching their interests, abilities, and personality traits with appropriate careers in the local community or through remote work.
- Support career exploration programs in the schools including pilots such as the JOG program.
- Prepare students for interviews with local employers.
- Help local companies identify and meet their staffing needs by searching for qualified students who can meet their requirements.
- Assist students with career planning, including advice on how to pursue workforce training.
- Provide information about job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing, networking, and other topics related to career development.
- Connect students with community resources, such as job training programs, educational opportunities, and financial assistance including CCMEP providers.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assessment and Coaching Coordinator is a self-motivated person with strong organizational skills. The Assessment and Coaching Coordinator analyzes all Future Plans assessments and provides on-going reporting while coordinating coaching activities to all collaborating educational institutions in the state of Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment Coordination and Reporting:
- Maintain database tracking of all participating high schools, career technical centers, and partnering community organizations, including the name of county liaisons.
- Monitor tentative assessment schedule and provide daily student progress reporting to identified stakeholders.
- Analyze assessment data to provide regional reporting of aggregate data for executive level meetings, district updates, internal staff trainings, and workforce development funding meetings.
- Coordinate with Future Plans technical support to ensure system functionality on high traffic assessment days.
Career Coaching Coordination and Reporting:
- Maintain statewide coaching schedule, working with Career Navigators, Community Outreach Partners (COP’s), Directors, School Administrators, and Contract Career Coaches to establish coaching dates/times and oversee facilitation of coaching sessions.
- Actively work with school officials to make necessary adjustments in coaching schedules to ensure continuity of coaching.
- Provide daily reporting, identifying completed and rescheduled coaching sessions.
Career Coaching Supervision:
- Assist Director, Career Coaching in hiring, onboarding, and supervision of all 1099 Contract Career Coaches.
- Serve as the main facilitator for coaching sessions and point person for potential issues that may arise.
- Monitor coaching notes to ensure timely reporting.
- Maintain tracking of all coaching hours and oversee timely approval of individual coach hours in Paychex system.
- Assist partnering community organizations with scheduling career coaching for adult participants and professionals within their organizations.
Professional Development:
- Provide professional development training on assessment and coaching reporting as needed.
- Track 1099 Career Coach professional development hours.
- Work with Chief Programming Officer and Director, Career Coaching to identify professional development needs associated with assessment and data analysis.
Additional Responsibilities Associated with this Position:
- Data Analysis and support.
- State and grant reporting requirements associated with assessment data.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information with students and coaches.
- Maintain a positive workplace attitude and demeanor.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a collaborative approach with colleagues to meet organizational goals.
- Know and comply with all school district policies and procedures associated with providing contract level career coaching services.
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in Future Plans and GRIT Ohio meetings and trainings to keep abreast of pertinent updates in economic and workforce development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Employment:
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience providing administrative support.
- Strong technology skills in Microsoft Office and Zoom technologies as needed to perform job duties. Including an intermediate level of proficiency in Excel and experience using SharePoint.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Organizational, leadership, and time-management skills.
Preferred:
- Possess a minimum of a BS/BA degree.
- Previous experience as an Assessment Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS
All work is remote work. Must have a quiet space, high-speed internet access, and a computer with audio and video capabilities to be considered. Background check required.
Must be available between the hours of 7am – 4pm Monday through Friday. The workload may be quite busy for a few months as schools assess and coach students and then slower until the next school semester begins the process with a new group of students.

DUTIES
SCHOOLS
- Collaborate with high school guidance counselors to implement the FUTURE PLANS career assessment.
- Coordinate career coaching schedules for students within each high school.
- Maintain a data dashboard to monitor the career readiness status of all high school students.
- Participate in the school business advisory council. Take a leadership or key coordination role.
- Collaborate with schools to complement, supplement, deepen, and enhance the district’s college and career education programs.
- Participate in the Ohio Department of Education career education continuing education series.
- Identify students interested in immediately entering the workforce upon graduation and assist in attending local job fairs and/or identifying potential employers.
ADULTS & BUSINESS COMMUNITY
- Monitor the employment needs of the county business community.
- Lead county committee meetings and continue to recruit participants.
- Collaborate with the library and Ohio Means Jobs office to develop and facilitate county workshops related to career exploration and coaching; coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.
- Serve as program representative on assigned community committees such as drug coalition, recovery and court initiatives.
- Attend county Chamber of Commerce meetings as a means of building employer relationships.
- Serve as a liaison to the business community and the schools as a means of identifying career pathways for students, speakers for the schools and employees for the businesses.
- Identify local success stories for the purpose of developing video testimonials and local press coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with local elected officials (mayors, county commissioners, state representatives, and senators, congressional representatives) to increase the visibility of the role of the project in the community.
- Build and maintain relationships with local community colleges and workforce training programs such as apprenticeships.
- Maintain positive community relations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrate ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse people and formal organizations.
- Ability to build effective relationships and consensus through effective collaboration.
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to think in an interdisciplinary team.
- Must have a reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and minimum staterequired liability auto insurance required.
- Complete and clear Ohio’s Criminal Background.

LOCATION
This position is a field position based at schools and partner organizations in Defiance, Williams, Henry, Fulton and Paulding Counties with some home office time.

You’ll design and deliver engaging training programs that equip learners with the confidence and knowledge to use technology effectively in their daily lives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver curriculum for basic digital literacy training programs covering topics such as:
- Using computers and mobile devices
- Navigating the internet
- Email communication and etiquette
- Online safety and security
- Essential applications (e.g., web browsing, email, social media)
- Tailor training content to meet the specific needs and learning styles of diverse audiences (beginners, older adults, low literacy, etc.)
- Utilize a variety of engaging instructional methods, including hands-on activities, demonstrations, discussions, and individual support.
- Assess learner comprehension through practical exercises and informal assessments.
- Travel to remote locations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders.
- Respond to all technical issues that may arise during session as there may be no on site technical support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of basic computer and internet skills.
- Experience teaching or training to groups with low technical literacy. (Experience teaching or training adults in a non-technical field is a plus)
