Program Overview
Mental health, recovery, trauma, and life circumstances all impact workplace success. The Workforce Success Coach Training equips professionals with practical tools to support individuals navigating employment while also experiencing recovery, reentry, or other behavioral health related challenges.
Workforce Success Coaches serve as a bridge between individuals, employers, and support systems. Through trauma informed and strengths-based strategies, participants learn how to reduce barriers, strengthen communication, and improve job placement and long-term retention outcomes.
Who This Training Is For
This training is designed for professionals who support job seekers and employees, including:
- Workforce development professionals
- Recovery and treatment center staff
- Justice-impacted support professionals
- Community members
What Participants Will Learn
By completing this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a Workforce Success Coach
- Apply trauma informed and strengths-based communication techniques
- Identify common behavioral health related workplace barriers
- Support job readiness, placement, and retention efforts
- Communicate effectively with employers around fair chance and recovery friendly practices
Training Structure
The Workforce Success Coach Training is a multi-session certificate program that includes pre-work activities, one in-person session, and six virtual training sessions.
- In-person session: March 13th, 2026, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Location: Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library; Chillicothe, OH
- Doors open at 9:30 am. Lunch provided.
